Educators

Teaching some topics comes with the extra challenge of navigating strong reactions to the content and subject matter from students, parents, or other educational partners. My resources can help reduce the stress and pressure that comes from teaching controversial topics, as they are based on my experience teaching these topics, research, as well as being on all sides of the democratic table.

Educators now require skills in conflict resolution and communications that were not part of your university program or other professional development.

Plus, good process design and facilitation of your lessons will also help you teach in an effective and engaging way to build community in your classroom, as well as inside and outside your school.

My work and resources are organized into three themes that align with my career in education, politics and community development. There may be tools that you find useful in each area whether you are an educator, community leader or consultant/coach.

Here are some tools that are helpful for educators.
